The talk is tomorrow, Friday July 27th from 7 to 8:30 pm in the OMCA James Moore Theater. Moderated by OMCA Senior Curator of Art Rene de Guzman and joined by Susan Miller, guest curator of the Clowes exhibit, the discussion will explore Clowes' and Ware's perspectives on the state of comics today, the relationship of comics to fine art, the power of hand-drawn images in the digital age, and their individual careers, among other topics.
After the talk, Clowes and Ware will be signing in the OMCA store from 9 to 10 pm. Due to the short nature of the signing, no outside books can be brought for signing.
Now here's the important part: tickets are included with Museum admission, but seating is limited! Doors open at 6:30, and it would definitely be a good idea to come early, get in line, and cross your fingers. Oh and also, while you're at it, maybe write down every word they so we Montrealers can pretend like we were there? Perfect, thanks.
